So what is a paperslide? Well a paperslide is a way to report out using drawings, scripts and a video camera to make a quick slide show of a concept. This is a group activity where the group is given a topic to report out on and then the group writes a script, designs visuals (usually labeled drawings) to story board the concept while someone narrates (reads the script.) It's actually really cool because in this type of activity everyone has a job to do and it needs to be done quite quickly, no time for dilly-dallying about. There is a time limit to create the paperslide show and you only get one take to shoot the video. If someone messes up they just need to move on. What I loved about this activity is that its quick and fun and really gives your kids a chance to show what they know without it turning into a big production of editing and trying to do special effects. Its plain and simple. You can also do this very easily in a one ipad classroom. Matthew actually took each video with one ipad during our workshop session.
