The kids might be asking you about the Ebola virus and whether or not they are at risk for getting it, if there will be a cure for it and might even ask why antibiotics won't help. Here are a few short animations and movies that can help satisfy a little bit of their curiosity: You don't want to freak them out, but hey you do want them to be educated. Appropriate for MS/HS students. How Flu Viruses Attack from National Geographic This one Ted Talk is very informational but also about 20 minutes long. HIV and the Flu Virus by Seth Berkley. Also appropriate for MS and HS students. This is a great TED ed talk on how viruses attack cells and how cells fight back. This clip is great for upper elementary, middle school and high school Happy Monday, remember to keep your hands washed and have kids cover their mouths when sneezing and coughing. :)
